With the three gold crowns on the tower, City Hall has become both a national and international symbol for Stockholm and Sweden. City Hall is not only the place from where Sweden is governed, but also houses the excellent banquet facilities Golden Hall and the Blue Hall. It is here the Nobel Prize banquet is held each year.
It is also a here Stadshuskällaren is located with its beautiful dining room and Eldqvarnsrummet and Skänkrummet for those who want to be more secluded. In these beautiful rooms we offers Swedish-inspired menus, as well as banquet menus, traditional Christmas dinner, sumptuous seafood buffet in the fall and all the Nobel Menus who served during the years from 1901 and until last.

The Nobel Prize and the Nobel Banquet
The Nobel Prize has over time become the most important prize of all. Since 1901 awards ceremony takes place every year in Stockholm on December 10, on the day Alfred Nobel past away. Four prizes are awarded in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine and Literature. An additional prize, The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel, is awarded at the same time. On the same day awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo.
After the award ceremony in Stockholm Concert Hall follows the great Nobel Banquet, in which Nobel Laureates and their families, together with HM the King and HM The Queen and members of the royal family are guests of honor. Award Ceremony and Nobel Banquet is now an international event which monitored intensively by the media from many countries. The Nobel Banquet is a huge event that requires meticulous planning of every detail to make everything work.
